2016 FAI Gold Parachuting Medal - Award

Address by the President of the CADEA, engineer Gustavo Eduardo Reyes:
"It started in the sport of skydiving in 1956, obtaining his license in 1957 Paratrooper. Just weeks later he obtained his qualification as a professional skydiver and instructor. He also got his private pilot 's license in 1961.
In 1962 he attended his first official competition in Córdoba (National Championship), where he won the silver medal.
That same year he obtained his certification as a National Judge and from there he served as Chief Judge in national 1963 and 1965, either acting as Director of Event or as part of the Panel of Judges in 1964, 1970, 1971, 1972 and 1973 .
In 1973 he was appointed International Judge FAI, acting in Pan American Championships, Latin American and two World Cups, as well as in the programming of the 1988 Seoul Olympic rings.
He was co - founder and first president of the Argentina Federation of Parachuting in 1962 and served in that position several subsequent periods.
He was CEO of Argentina in the IPC / FAI since 1973.
In September 1971 in Mexico the Pan American Federation of Parachuting (CPP) was founded, being co - founder and the first Commission served as Treasurer, following several periods with positions as President and Secretary of the CPP from 1971 to 1980.
First president and chief promoter of the Latin American Federation of Parachuting Colpar in March 1986 and repeated the presidency in 2010.
In 1979 he co - founded the CADEA, exercising the general secretariat and the treasury for several periods.
Thus, acting as Delegate of Argentina, he represented the CADEA in various annual meetings FAI, as well as in the meetings of the International Committee of Parachuting (International Parachuting Committee) for 18 consecutive years.
From 1979 to 1989 he was editor of the magazines, the latter "Deportivo Airspace" and "Aerodeportes" which reached a circulation of 18,000 copies per month.
For 8 years he served as Titular Counselor of the Argentine Olympic Committee representing the FAP.
In 2012, he was elected as the first TOP POP Argentina, that is representative of Argentina veteran paratroopers Paratroopers Society in over forty years of age (POPS) for its acronym in English.
He is currently director of the Arbitration Commission Historical FAP, having also received the distinctions of the FAI (Paul Tissandier) in 1989 and the Argentine Olympic Committee as the National Sports Manager of the Year 1993.
Additionally , he was recognized as honorary president of the FAP and Colpar. This year was also appointed Honorary Member of the National Institute Newberiano, together with the general secretary of the FAP Miss Norma Sansone.
It is a permanent collaborator of aerodeporte urging those who follow him to permanently overcome. Mediocrity is not in its dictionary, and the current sport parachuting recognizes him as the doer and inspiring of his greatest achievements.
