FAI World XC Contest winners 2024
We congratulate the winners of the FAI World XC Contest of the season 2023-2024!
Paragliding
In the season 2023-2024, there were 2770 paraglider pilots competing in the FAI World XC contest, still a decrease of 7%. The biggest churn rate was observed in Sport category (up to 12%). But it can be considered as a positive slow-down if compared to 2023 when XC participation dropped by 25% vs 2022. All top-performance flights were carried out in Brazil, but very few exceeded 500 km. The maximum average speed achieved was over 50 km/h.
